Nico by Fibre Mood – the large, practical beach bag that carries absolutely everything: Works in progress, a stack of books, or your beach day essentials. In this project suggestion, you'll sew it from the trendy Katia Paper Knit Raffia "Nautic Waves" – a sturdy 100% paper raffia (60 cm wide) with a maritime wave pattern, instantly giving the bag a summery handmade character and a firm stand.

For the self-made bias tape, we chose a warm AGF PURE Solids "Sandstone" that complements the sandy tones of the raffia. Below, under "What you'll need:", you'll find both fabrics in the appropriate quantities – buy the complete set or easily replace individual items with your own stash.

The pattern is not included: You can get it as a digital or printed pattern directly from Fibre Mood (approx. €9.25).

Good to know: The raffia is quite stiff – Katia recommends a universal needle size 100 and possibly seam allowances reinforced with fusible interfacing. Ideal for advanced beginners.
