Italian linen from the family weaving mill
A treasure from southern Italy
Sometimes chance leads you to the most beautiful discoveries. On a trip through the sun-kissed hills of southern Italy, I came across a small weaving mill that has been hidden like a well-kept secret among olive groves for 53 years. Here, where time seems to pass differently, fabrics are made for the great Italian fashion houses – and with a perfection that only generations of craftsmanship can produce.
The 84-year-old founder is still in his workshop every day. His hands know every thread, his eyes check every selvedge. Here, not only is fabric woven – the yarn is still spun by hand. This rare perfection of fabric production makes every meter something special.
Linen as it should be
This unwashed linen fabric embodies true Italian craftsmanship: it brings the natural coolness that is a blessing on hot summer days and a special texture. Compared to stonewashed linen, it is firmer and stiffer, making it pleasantly grippy and shape-stable when working with it. It breathes with your skin and only becomes softer through washing – like a good wine that reveals its full beauty over time.
Norvegia righe celeste
A fabric like like a Scandinavian holiday home by the fjord.
Wide stripes in clear light blue and white, loosely woven and with a special detail: fine white weft threads run through the blue stripes – creating this typical chambray effect that gives the fabric both depth and lightness. Almost as if a summer shirt had gone on vacation.
The effect? Fresh, airy, and a little bit nostalgic. Ideal for summer quilts, maritime projects, cushions with character, or as a backing with a wow effect. Combines with everything. Period.
✨ Norvegia righe celeste is like a day by the water – clear, structured, and simply beautiful to look at.
The special generosity – and why the price surprises
What initially surprises you quickly turns out to be a gift: with its 3 meters width, this fabric brings wonderful generosity. Where other fabrics reach their limits, it opens new possibilities for you. A summer quilt without disturbing seams, bed linen made in one piece, or flowing dresses that seem cast from a single piece – the unusual width makes many things possible that would otherwise only be achievable with compromises.
The price may seem high at first glance – but that's due to the double width. While standard linen is usually 1.40-1.50m wide, here you get double in one piece. Calculate it: per square meter you actually pay less than the first impression suggests. And you save the effort of joining multiple lengths – time, seams, and often also waste.

The true value of European craftsmanship
Yes, this fabric costs more than mass-produced goods from the Far East. But every euro contains the passion of a family that has perfected its craft for over five decades. It contains the certainty that European traditions are preserved. And it contains the quality you can feel, see, and that lasts for years.
If we don't support such manufacturers, they quietly disappear – along with a piece of culture that cannot be rebuilt.
One unit corresponds to 50cm at 3m width
For airy summer dresses, fine bed linen, or the perfect quilt – this fabric makes each of your projects something special.
