Alchemist – Enchanted is your entry into quilting – no prior knowledge, no jargon. Simple shapes, straight seams, and a finished quilt that not only looks good but wants to be used every day.

Enchanted is the first project from The Making of a Quilter – a beginner series that takes you into quilting project by project. Each kit introduces exactly one new technique and becomes a little more complex. You simply follow the steps and notice along the way how you become more confident with each quilt.

What to expect: Warm, earthy tones in a color palette that feels like a walk in an autumn forest when the light falls through the leaves. The fabrics are hand-picked: Art Gallery Pure Solids for a buttery soft touch and rich colors, combined with Cloud9 Organic Quilting Cotton – sustainably produced and beautifully draped.

Everything is prepared in the kit so you can start right away: all fabrics for your quilt top, matching thread, and a detailed instruction manual in German that guides you step by step. No guesswork, no YouTube marathon at three in the morning – unless you simply feel like it.

You won't be sewing alone: With your kit, you'll receive an invitation to our moderated WhatsApp group (for two months). Ask any question, show your progress, even ask the same thing three times. This is the place to experiment – without judgment, with a lot of understanding for those pre-first-cut jitters.

If you wish, you can complete your kit: Batting, backing fabric, and binding can be added here as add-ons – custom-cut and color-coordinated. This way, you'll truly have everything you need to sew your first quilt from start to finish.

And if you unpack the kit and realize: the colors aren't quite your thing? Then send it back. Yes, really. That's not a given in a fabric store – but I want you to fall in love with your first quilting project, not just settle for it.
