Project Proposal #3 | Blakely Quilt - Then Came June
You will need:
Blakely Quilt by Then Came June – an ombré quilt that gently fades from bold coral to delicate blush. Simple 2½″ strips create a soft watercolor gradient through three block types. This project suggestion is compiled as a Small Throw (approx. 140 × 140 cm) – the perfect snuggle blanket.
Our fabric selection mixes Fableism Solid Wovens with Art Gallery Prints for vibrant mid-tones in the gradient:
- Color 1–2: Sprout Woven Spicy → AGF Duval Basket Weave Shrimpy (bold coral)
- Color 3–4: Sprout Woven Cider → AGF Roots of Nature Orchard Three (warm apricot)
- Color 5–7: Sprout Woven Pan Dulce → AGF Decostitch Pink Powder → Sprout Woven Pink Sand (peach to blush)
- Background in calm cream, Backing as a floral AGF print "Freshly Gathered", Binding in berry-toned Marsala.
Plus Vlieseline 276 cotton quilt batting for a soft feel. All quantities are pre-set below in the ingredient list – each item can be adjusted, deselected, or replaced with fabrics from your stash.
Pattern: The Blakely Quilt is a paid pattern (in English, 6 sizes) by Meghan Buchanan – buy as PDF directly from Then Came June.
