Project Proposal #11 | Cats on Cats

Cats on Cats by Jenny Ronen for Birch Fabrics – a playful quilt made of numerous small cat silhouettes in an improv look, chain-pieced and therefore easily doable even for beginners.

For this suggestion, we are basing it on the official "Cats on Cats in Shadow 2026" kit version by Alison Glass, which implements precisely this pattern in her new Shadow 2026 collection (Andover Fabrics) – which we already carry in our assortment. According to the note from the lookbook: 12 Fabrics à ½ yard from the Shadow series – 3 white/light, 2 grey, 1 brown, and 6 black tones (alternatively 3 black fabrics à 1 yard instead of 6 × ½ yard).

Finished size: approx. 60″ × 72″ (152 × 183 cm) according to the original tutorial – the size can be easily adjusted via rows/columns according to the instructions.
