"Do you know that feeling – you touch a fabric and immediately know: This is something really special?"
That's exactly how Tana Lawn™ from Liberty London feels – a fabric so fine and elegant that you almost forget it is made from 100% cotton. And no, this is not a marketing gimmick, but real textile magic with history: Named after the Ethiopian Lake Tana, this fabric has been made from particularly long-staple cotton fibers since the 1930s – for a finish that almost resembles silk.
Tana Lawn™ is the result of over a hundred years of innovation and true textile passion. The fabric is produced in the in-house Liberty printing house in Northern Italy – using a bespoke process designed for maximum color brilliance, unique print quality, and a silky, flowing feel. The result: a modern classic that not only looks stunning but is also machine washable and robust enough for everyday use.
"Why do we love Tana Lawn™ so much? Because it can do just about everything:"

Wiltshire is an absolute classic: a small-scale berry-and-leaf pattern that was originally designed for Liberty in 1933. It appears playful, slightly retro, and yet totally timeless. The gently curved lines make this print an ideal candidate for projects where movement and structure are required – for example, quilts with curves or appliqués. Especially great in muted tones or tone-on-tone combinations!
