MUDDY WORKS is a textile line by the Japanese artist duo Tomotake, who translate traditional mud-dyeing techniques into modern fabric designs. The canvas fabrics in the series combine natural-colored backgrounds with graphic, mostly white or contrasting prints – such as circles, Anpan buns or floral shapes – and have a clear, modern Japanese look.

The natural-colored canvas with a white Anpan motif looks calm and timeless: the texture of the canvas brings depth, while the white pattern remains subtle but clearly visible. This makes it ideal for bags, backpacks, shoppers, cushions, seat cushions, aprons and other sturdy decor and accessory projects.

Technical Details

There are two typical canvas qualities in the series – "Lightweight Canvas" and "Heavy Canvas"; you can choose the appropriate variant depending on your specific fabric.
