Hobbs Tuscany Cotton/Wool is a premium quilt batting made from 80% fine cotton and 20% superwash wool – ideal if you want to combine the soft cotton look with a touch of loft and warmth. The batting has a low to medium loft of approximately ⅛ inch, beautifully showcases your quilting, and at the same time provides a subtly "puffed" look.

It is equally suitable for hand quilting, machine quilting, and longarm quilting, and is pleasant to needle through. It works particularly well in quilts that are frequently used and washed: cuddle quilts, bed quilts, children's quilts, and wall hangings where you desire a soft drape.

Because the cotton content is natural, Hobbs recommends this batting primarily for medium to dark-toned fabrics; for very light or white fabrics, the slightly natural-colored cotton content may show through minimally. The batting is dimensionally stable, resistant to fiber migration, can be worked with a quilt spacing of up to approximately 4" (10 cm), and develops the popular, slight "crinkle" effect after washing.
