Alchemist – Enchanted is your entry into quilting. No prior knowledge needed, no complicated trimming, no fear of crooked seams. Simple shapes, straight seams, a result to be proud of – and above all: it wants to be used.

Enchanted is the first part of The Making of a Quilter – a series that takes you project by project into quilting. Each kit builds on the previous one, becoming a bit more complex – and you'll barely notice, because you'll simply get better and better along the way.

What to expect: Warm, earthy tones in a color palette that feels like a walk in an autumn forest when the light filters through the leaves. The fabrics are hand-picked: Art Gallery Pure Solids for a buttery soft feel and rich colors, combined with Cloud9 Organic Quilting Cotton – sustainably produced and beautifully draped.

The kit includes all fabrics for your quilt top, a spool of thread, and detailed instructions in German that guide you step-by-step. No guesswork, no late-night YouTube marathon. Although – you're welcome to do that anyway.

You're not alone: With your kit, you'll receive an invitation to our moderated WhatsApp group – for two months. Ask any question that comes to mind. Show what you're sewing. Ask the same question three times. No one judges, everyone is just starting out. No shame, just needle and thread and people who are exactly where you are.

Complete your kit: Batting, backing fabric, and binding can be added as an add-on directly here on the page – cut to size and color-coordinated. This way, you truly have everything you need to sew your first quilt from start to finish.

And if the colors aren't your thing? Then send the kit back. Yes, really. In a fabric store, that's far from a given – but I want you to fall in love with your first project. Not just settle.

Because that's what it's all about: not putting another fabric on the shelf. But eventually being able to say: I made this. 🦊
