"Perfect Day – Piknik Plaid Purple" by Libs Elliott for Andover Fabrics is a modern patchwork fabric made from 100% cotton. "Piknik Plaid" is the picnic check of the collection – here in vibrant purple: a graphic, cheerful check pattern that adds texture and rhythm to your project. As a check, it forms the ideal counterpoint to the floral and figurative motifs of the series.

You can use it to sew modern quilts and quilt backings, cushion covers, table runners and placemats, project bags, shoppers, cosmetic pouches, utility organizers, pencil cases, or picnic and nursery decor. Checks like this are excellent as a textured and contrasting fabric, for bindings, and for bias-cut details.

It is 100% cotton in consistently good patchwork quality – firm enough for neat seams yet pleasantly supple. With a width of approx. 112 cm, the fabric is easy to cut and sew, ideally with a universal needle size 80. Care: Machine wash at 30 °C, pre-wash before cutting, do not tumble dry hot.
